Prolink S18 provides straight and curve conveying in one series of belts. Diverse versions enable adaption to tight curve radii and customized sections. You then have more freedom to design your conveyor and decrease any unnecessary transfer points between conveyor sections.
The belt surface has an open area of 44%. Water and fluids can drain off quickly. Air gets to the products conveyed directly. The open structure also makes cleaning easier. Therefore, Prolink S18 is suitable for packaged and unpackaged food and processes requiring exceptional airflow and drainage.
The belt is low weight but has high tensile capacity and superior lateral rigidity. This combination helps ensure reliable processes on straight and curved sections of the conveyor. The tight-mesh Grid Top pattern also keeps small products securely on the belt.

With a pitch of 25.4 mm, series 18 is a lightweight plastic modular belt geared to straight and radius conveying. Its surface with a 44% open area ensures excellent airflow and drainage while the tight-mesh Grid Top even enables conveying of small products.
The belt is available for clockwise (CW) tracking and counterclockwise (CCW) tracking. To ensure it runs reliably, ensure that the curve orientation is correct based on the hinge pin’s head position.
Series 18 is suitable as a curved and spiral belt for conveying lightweight to medium-weight food and non-food products. Due to its exceptional tensile strength and lateral stiffness, the belt excels in demanding conveying applications and spiral towers with cage drives.
Corrugated flights (PMC) are available for better release and better bending stiffness, as well as side guards (SG) as tracking guides to separate products in curve applications. Both components are flexible to position and adapt to diverse collapse factors.
The collapse factor outlines how much the belt compresses in curves and establishes the minimum inner radius possible. Series 18 comes with a 1.7 Cc and 2.2 Cc. The COMBO variant (2.2/1.7 Cc) allows a combination of high belt pull and small radii for single-direction curve designs.
Standard materials include POM-CR, and PP, with PA optionally available where greater temperature resistance is a must. These options mean the belt can adapt to diverse temperatures and applications, ranging from -45°C to +120°C, depending on the material chosen.
Alongside the standard Grid Top pattern, there are also types with hold-down tabs (GRT G) for guidance purposes, a High Deck (HDK) to exploit the whole belt width and beyond, Friction Top (FRT1) for better adhesion, and Cone Top (CTP) for excellent grip.
The belt width ranges from a width of 149.9 mm minimum to a maximum of 1219 mm and can be increased in increments of 12.7 mm. The hinge pins are a single-piece up to a belt width of 1219 mm, which guarantees exceptional stability across the whole width.
