Small products place exceptional demands on conveying technology. Prolink S13 combines a small 8-mm pitch with precise transfers and diverse surfaces As a result, you can convey light to medium-weight food and non-food products reliably and gently.
“When it comes to applications with very small transfer gaps, Prolink S13 is a versatile specialist. The belt runs over rolling or fixed knife edges up to a minimum radius of 3 mm. Therefore, even small and sensitive products move smoothly and precisely from one process step to the next. This series is exceptionally flexible in conveying, drying or cooling processes.”

The small, 8-mm pitch enables outstandingly tight transfer gaps. This aspect pays dividends, particularly with small, lightweight or sensitive products. Knife edges with small radii encourage fluid transfers and reduce critical distances between two conveying sections.
Smooth, patterned or with an open area: Prolink S13 delivers diverse belt surfaces for a range of tasks. The inverted pyramid pattern encourages the release of wet or sticky products. Cone Tops improve grip. The open version with an open area of 34% boosts airflow and drainage. As a result, you can customize the belt to products and processes.
The design of the underside of the belt and sprockets boosts reliable tooth engagement, belt tracking and cleaning friendliness. Headless hinge pins facilitate fitting and maintenance. The ProSnap version also allows quick and tool-free opening and closing of the belt.

At just 8 mm, the series 13 has one of the tightest pitches in the Prolink range. This very small pitch enables exceptionally tight transfer gaps. As a result, the belt can move even very small and sensitive products gently and smoothly. Therefore, the belt’s ideal for conveying lightweight products in the food and many more industries.
PA and POM are standard materials used. But PA-HT, which can withstand higher temperatures and PXX-HC as a self-extinguishing, highly conductive material, are also optionally available. These options mean the belt can adapt to the demands of diverse temperatures and applications, ranging from -45°C to +155°C, depending on the material chosen.
Series 13 was tailored to applications with knife edges and enables a return over rolling or fixed knife edges up to a minimum radius of just 3 mm. Therefore, the belt can transfer the smallest of products precisely. The belt is also ideal for conveying, drying and cooling.
Yes, the belt is NSF compliant, and belts made of POM, PA and PA-HT meet the requirements of the FDA 21 CFR regulation, the EU directives (EU) 10/2011 and (EC) 1935/2004 and the Japanese MHLW 370 regulation. NSF certification applies to production in the Forbo Huntersville (US), Malacky (Slovakia) and Tlalnepantla (Mexico) plants.
There are four types, depending on the application: S13-0 FLT with a closed, smooth surface for standard usage, S13-0 NPY with an inverted pyramid pattern that releases wet or sticky products superbly, the S13-0 CTP with a Cone Top for excellent grip and the S13-34 FLT with a 34% open area for outstanding airflow and drainage.
The sophisticated design of the teeth and belt underside means superior tooth engagement, reliable belt tracking and a belt that’s easy to clean. The belt and sprocket design are engineered to work in tandem and guarantee good power transmission and tensile force.
The hinge pins are headless, which makes fitting and dismantling the belt during maintenance much easier. ProSnap is a quick-release solution allowing easy and tool-free opening and closing of the belt – even across the whole belt width.
The sprockets (S13 SPR) come in five sizes ranging from Z15 to Z48, with diameters of around 39 mm to 124 mm. They are available with round and square axle diameters, making the flexible to fit to diverse conveyor concepts.
