The Tessera Union carpet tiles collection encompasses three patterned ranges: the natural intersecting striated design of Accord, the soft hues of Harmony and the organic patterning of Infused, all of which complement other Tessera ranges for endless design possibilities.

The 50 x 50 cm carpet tiles of the Accord, Harmony & Infused collection offer a textured loop construction for structure and pattern. Each range in the Union collection shares linking yarn colours, tones and usable design styles.

The Union tiles can be used individually or in a combination of different colours and ranges to create balanced, calming and more productive workspace environments.

Tessera Accord

A harmonious, contemporary geometric, Tessera Accord comprises of naturally intersecting lines which collaborate to create one, universally appealing design, suitable for any interior scheme. Accord has a multi-pile height ‘design’ loop surface finish, giving the patterning interesting structure and a textured under foot feel.

Tessera Harmony

A soft and balanced design, giving a sense of agreement and control, Tessera Harmony promotes a calming, more productive environment, increasing the sense of wellbeing in any interior scheme. The tufted multi-pile height loop surface tiles offer a small scale design, creating a soft two tone brush stroke appearance.

Designed to work effortlessly within commercial interiors, each range within the Union collection is available in 12 colourways which blend easily with interior schemes as well as other ranges from the Tessera portfolio. The 3 Union carpet tile ranges share linking yarn colours, tones and usable design styles to maximise creative possibilities and offer flexibility within a scheme.

The 6 neutral colours in each Union range form a warm palette with linking elements to the Tessera Cloudscape, Inline and Layout collections. The 6 colour accents link tonally with the neutrals and offer new subtle highlights: perfect for introducing subtle interest and colour to workspaces.

Tessera carpet tiles can be combined with other Forbo products to create beautiful and practical flooring solutions for any environment.

The neutral colourways in the Infused, Accord and Harmony ranges share identical tones, allowing interesting pattern change, single tone, design schemes. Use them together with other complementary Tessera carpet tiles for increased flexible creativity.

Tessera carpet tiles can easily be installed in combination with Allura Flex vinyl planks and tiles: without the need for transition strips, additional profiles or inconvenient build-up of the sub-floor.

Tessera tufted carpet tiles are renowned for their aesthetic styling and outstanding performance, even in the most demanding of heavy traffic environments. Offering a diverse range of constructions, including loop pile, cut & loop pile and random lay.batchless, the comprehensive Tessera collection includes contemporary and classic styles, plains, patterns and solid colourways to enhance a wide variety of commercial and public sector interiors.

Forbo Flooring carpet tiles have received the GUT label. This means our Tessera ranges have passed the latest and severe testing on chemicals and emissions to ensure consumers safety.

Highly durable and fit-for-purpose solutions

Leading in recycled content

By weight, our carpet tiles are among the carpet tiles with the highest recycled content in the industry. On average, the percentage of recycled content by weight is at least 57%. Some of our ranges, for example Create Space 1, even have a recycled content by weight of 75%.

We also manufacture random-lay/batchless tiles that reduce installation waste to less than 2%. Installing with random-lay tiles provides the option to replace parts of the floor with heavy wear without impacting the overall design.

We are also experimenting with end-of-life solutions, especially those that involve separating the tiles’ textile layer from their backing.

Sustainable manufacturing

• All tufted Tessera carpet tiles are manufactured in an ISO 14001 certified plant using 100% renewable energy (green electricity & biogas)
• Manufactured by a SA8000 certified flooring company
• Tessera carpet tiles contain at least 57% recycled content by weight
• Ultrasonic tile cutting process reduces tile waste by 80% compared to traditional press cutting methods
• Closed loop process: extruder ensures that the little waste we generate is recycled back into the product
• Third party verified Environmental Product Declarations available

Environmental Product Declarations

As part of our sustainability policy, most of our Tessera carpet tiles have an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). This declaration, which is transparent and third-party verified, is based on a technique which assess environmental impacts associated with all the stages of a product's life from raw material extraction through materials processing, manufacture, distribution, use, repair and maintenance, to ultimate disposal or recycling.

This technique takes all the following aspects into account: environmental impact of raw material acquisition, energy use and efficiency, content of materials and chemical substances, emissions to air, soil and water and waste generation.
