RED ROSE AWARD FINALISTS
We’re delighted to announce that Forbo and our Evolve+ series of low embodied carbon carpet tiles has been shortlisted in Lancashire’s 2026 Red Rose Awards.
We’re delighted to share that Forbo and our Evolve+ low embodied carbon carpet tiles have been shortlisted for Lancashire’s 2026 Red Rose Awards. The nomination recognises our innovative approach to helping architects and specifiers meet sustainability targets through responsible, high-performance flooring design.
With sustainability becoming increasingly important for the industry, everyone from end users and facilities managers to architects and designers are looking to meet Net Zero principles and government requirements. This challenge led us to develop a more sustainable carpet tile collection, where circularity and low embodied carbon were central to the design, alongside aesthetics.
From this, our Evolve+ series of carpet tiles was developed, driven by a desire to do more in low carbon flooring solutions.

With the tagline ‘product evolution for enhanced sustainability’, the Evolve+ series builds on our Tessera carpet tiles by enhancing their environmental credentials. It offers increased recycled content, a minimum of 75% recycled content by weight, and less than 2kg CO₂ eq/m² of embodied carbon (A1–A3), without offsetting.
The design process focused on innovative raw materials, with many ranges using Thrive® matter by Universal Fibers® — a solution-dyed nylon 6 with 90% recycled content. Tessera Chroma was also refreshed, with new ranges featuring 100% ECONYL®, carefully designed into each collection.
