As part of a full-scale refurbishment of Welsh-medium school Ysgol Gymraeg Nant Gwenlli in Newport, a range of Forbo’s flooring solutions were specified, providing both the durability and variety of colourways needed to create a truly integrated interior scheme.
The new Welsh-medium seedling school Ysgol Gymraeg Nant Gwenlli in Newport has seen a full-scale refurbishment, following its relocation to the former Pillgwenlly Primary building. One of four Welsh-Medium primary schools in the city and the largest in the local area, the renovation has transformed the building into a contemporary space for inspired learning.
Having recently worked on a similar school refurbishment, also in Newport, Designer Federico Putzu from Cyson Cymru was appointed to recommend the optimum flooring solutions for the interior finishes, taking inspiration from the previously praised design plans.
Speaking about the project, Federico said: “We’ve used Forbo Flooring Systems’ comprehensive portfolio a lot on education projects such as this, with its extensive colourways enabling us to create truly integrated flooring schemes that complement and harmonise with other interior finishes.
