Our Project of the Year Award went to Fidget UK Ltd for The Edge.
The Edge in Whitehaven is a bold new space inspired by its dramatic costal surroundings and designed to look like the sandstone pebbles washed up onto the harbour side during high seas.
The three-storey building appeals to a wide variety of audiences such as walkers and cyclists, a range of water sport users, to local community groups and tourists. Offering modern facilities, including hotel and hospitality spaces, changing facilities for local water sports clubs, a café, and an art space for wider community use.
The Sustainable Project of the Year Award was given to Westworks Interior Ltd for the vocoZeal Hotel.
vocoZeal, ESP is Western Europe’s first net zero carbon hotel. Emphasising sustainability, the hotel incorporates high-quality interior design alongside a fossil-free building services system, ensuring zero onsite combustion.
The landscaping includes herb gardens, green and brown roofs, and extensive ecological habitat improvements, further contributing to the project's environmental credentials. This pioneering approach places sustainability at the core of the hospitality industry, setting a precedent for net zero carbon hotels.

Stride Treglown
This landmark project is the first in South Wales to utilise the innovative IOBAC MagTabs system with Forbo’s Allura Flex luxury vinyl tiles, delivering a truly circular flooring solution.
Installed without adhesive, the MagTabs system allows for easy uplift, reuse, and full recyclability - supporting the project’s strong sustainability focus.
Manalo & White Architects
This design showcases the versatility and impact of Marmoleum in creating functional, sustainable, and visually striking spaces.
By using subtle tones from the Marmoleum marbled range—Eiger, Dove Grey, and Graphite—Manalo & White have defined distinct zones within open-plan student accommodation, balancing sophistication with durability on a budget.
BC Workspace Limited
The interior fit-out at 8 Laurence Pountney Hill demonstrates how premium material specification and design precision can elevate a commercial refurbishment. Flooring played a key role in defining the building’s transformation into a modern, comfortable, and high-performing workspace.
Forbo carpet tiles were used throughout the office areas, meeting rooms, and staircases—not only for their refined aesthetic and durability, but also for their acoustic and ergonomic benefits, enhancing user comfort and productivity.
Harvey Maria Ltd
The custom-printed Spilhaus ocean map floor at the National Maritime Museum is a stunning convergence of design and innovation. The choice of flooring material was integral to the project's success - its durability and clarity perfectly supported the map's intricate detail and vibrant colour.
This installation not only honours oceanographic history but transforms it into a walkable, educational experience!
Studio Khid
This project at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust demonstrates exceptional, thoughtful redesign of the Paediatrics Emergency Department.
The full department refurbishment initiated for Studio KHid in 2019 and spanned multiple key areas from the main Emergency Department waiting room to resus spaces, the bereavement suite, and now the paediatric emergency areas.
HLM Architect
The Radisson Blu perfectly exemplifies HLM's thoughtful design ethos.
The project demonstrates a carefully considered and well executed response to the Radisson's high standards for luxury, functionality, and design excellence. This was particularly important in this project, as one of the key components of Sheffield's wider Heart of the City regeneration masterplan.
Similar Ideas Ltd.
A central London office refurbishment project sought to breathe new life into a familiar and well liked workspace, transforming it into a more contemporary environment through the specification of high quality and durable materials, finishes and furnishings.
A key element of the proposal was the specification of Forbo floor coverings, selected not only for their sustainability credentials, durability and ease of maintenance, but also for their overall quality and versatility.
White Arkitekter
The Reuben Young People’s Centre exemplifies how thoughtful, sustainable design and carefully chosen materials can transform clinical healthcare environments into therapeutic spaces that promote healing and well-being.
Flooring was a critical element of the redesign— providing both durability and comfort— Forbo’s Sphera homogeneous vinyl range was chosen for its outstanding performance, aesthetic versatility, and sustainability credentials.
An imaginative use of Forbo flooring in a renovated city centre building with sensitive to both local history and the decorative styles found in nearby architecture such as The Guild Hall and 78 Derngate (designed by Rene MacKintosh). A scheme both post-modern and contemporary.
It was a closely run contest, but our Public Vote winner was Jasper Sanders + Partners for the Potterrow Student Living project.
Located opposite the esteemed University of Edinburgh Campus and a mere 10-minute stroll from Waverley Station, 16-18 Potterrow Student Living stands as a beacon of contemporary boutique student living in the heart of the Scottish capital.
A selection of products from across our integrated portfolio, including Coral barrier matting, sustainable Marmoleum and our Tessera caret tiles were used, and by prioritising sustainability, without compromising quality or style, Potterrow has set a new standard for environmentally conscious student living design.
Our Project of the Year Award went to Kerr Office Group for the Improve International project.
This design-led initiative, which utilised Forbo’s extensive range of products, integrates a diverse array of flooring types, including various carpets and vinyls, emphasising sustainable and hygienic solutions ideal for a veterinary setting.
By creating a facility that supports both learning and professional development, they significantly contributed to the growth of Improve International and setting a new benchmark for veterinary care globally.
