When will it be beneficial to install Modul'up?

No, the technical fundamentals are the same. Subfloor preparation is the same and must be carried out in accordance with BS5325:2001 Code of Practice for the installation of textile floor coverings. It is essential that the laying area is at a steady temperature of 18 to 27 degrees Celsius for 48 hours prior to, during, and 24 hours after the installation.

Are there any special subfloor requirements for Modul'up?

There are lots of different layout possibilities when installing Tessera planks. The standard, most commonly used laying methods include:

- Monolithic
- Herringbone
- Half Drop
- Brick
- Weave
- Double Herringbone

However, just because a layout is possible, doesn't mean it will look great! It's vital that you check the advice given in our product brochures and sample books to ensure that you understand which options are suitable for each of the different ranges.

Can Modul'up be laid on a damp subfloor?

Yes, this is a very useful feature of our new Cloudscape Merge carpet tiles. Although the line that cuts the Merge tiles in two looks completely random, it goes exactly through the midpoint of each carpet tile. That precision means that the corner pieces of the 'rug' can be created with mitred cuts.
