The City Centre Community Centre is a two-story facility located within a mixed-use development in Richmond, BC, Canada. The community centre offers residents a variety of modern multi-purpose spaces for various community recreation programs and services, tailored to residents of all ages.
The community centre was seen as an ideal place to showcase public art and the City’s commitment to sustainability. Forbo was chosen for its sustainable flooring and manufacturing, and in particular for the rapidly renewable linoleum floor covering. Linoleum is moreover easy to cut for creating artwork such as that integrated directly into the flooring of the upper lobby.
