Marmoleum Ohmex

Marmoleum Ohmex linoleum meets the higher requirements related to electrical conductivity. With electrical resistance improved to < 1-10 8 Ω (EN1081), Marmoleum Ohmex not only protects personal safety, but also protects equipment sensitive to static electricity.

At 2.5 mm thick, Marmoleum Ohmex is is available in six different colours. Common areas of use include computer/server areas and rooms with sensitive equipment.

About Conductive Linoleum

Why Choose Marmoleum Ohmex?

Forbo’s special Marmoleum formula meets specific electrical conductivity requirements.

Like all Marmoleum-products, Marmoleum Ohmex is produced from renewable materials, making it one of the most sustainable floor coverings on the market.

Static electricity
Friction and subsequent separation of two objects can generate tribo-electrification, which is the most common cause of static electrical discharge. This causes electrical shocks when an individual touches metal objects, when paper and foils stick together, or static when clothes made of synthetic materials are taken off, and lightening. This discharge can damage items like electrical equipment.

Electrical resistance
Floor coverings that provide a low electrical resistance can speedily dissipate electrical charges. Electrical resistance is expressed in Ohm (Ω)

Marmoleum ohmex is the dissipative linoleum floor covering.

Safety resistance
Electrical resistance of a floor cannot be too low as this could cause electrocution if there is contact with mains voltage of 220-230 Volts. According to the VDE0100/T160, a floor covering must have a minimal electrical resistance of: 5.104. A floor covering’s minimal electrical resistance is known as the safety resistance.
