LiS is a secondary technical school in precision engineering. The school was founded in 1901 by Nobel laureate Kamerlingh Onnes. When he received the Nobel Prize in 1913, he stated that he would never have succeeded without the instrument makers from the Leiden School.
They devise, design and make instruments on behalf of science (think of the CERN particle accelerator at Geneva) but also of the business community, such as ASML and Philips. Internationally, the school is also very well-known.
The Dutch King Willem-Alexander has opened a new wing in 2016 where our beautiful Allura Color fits perfectly.
