The Berlin-based architecture firm ALAS has designed the new company headquarters for the paint manufacturer and technology developer Hemmelrath Technologies (HTC) in Erlenbach am Main. The company specialises in the development and production of high-quality painting and coating systems and is recognised worldwide in the automotive industry. The new building is part of the so-called MoFa building concept. MoFa stands for Modular Factory, which are innovative production facilities based on a modular concept. They are characterised by the use of prefabricated modules that can be flexibly combined to cover different production processes.
HTC was founded in 1932 and has since written an impressive success story. The company has continuously developed and is now an important supplier for renowned car manufacturers. HTC offers a wide range of solutions for vehicle painting, including basecoats, clearcoats, effect paints and special coatings. HTC's painting and coating systems are characterised by their high quality, performance and reliability. The company invests heavily in research and development to develop innovative products and technologies that meet the ever-increasing demands of the automotive industry. In doing so, HTC places great emphasis on sustainability and environmental compatibility.
The choice of building materials for the new factory building was also based on the use of sustainable materials. For example, Marmoleum by Forbo is installed throughout the office part of the building. Linoleum floor coverings offer a variety of added values for offices and working environments. They are made from natural and renewable raw materials, such as linseed oil, resins, wood flour and limestone. Sound-absorbing properties can help reduce noise and sounds in offices. This creates a quieter working environment and contributes to the well-being of employees. Linoleum is available in a wide range of colours, patterns and designs. It offers creative options for office design and allows for an individual and appealing working environment. From neutral tones to vibrant colours, linoleum flooring can enhance the office and help create an inspiring atmosphere.
