This newly constructed hotel was built due to past devastating flood events. The previous building was flooded several times, so the hotel was rebuilt in the same place, but this time flood-proof. The architectural firm arc architekturconzept GmbH. Lauterbach - Oheim - Schaper created a dynamic building structure that suggests the effect of a stranded ship due to its transverse direction.

For the interior design, the architecture firm opted for timelessly beautiful floor coverings from Forbo Flooring in subtle shades of brown and gray:
