Performances

Classification : C2TE according to NEN-EN 12004 and S1 according to NEN EN 12002. A flexible cement-based powdered tile adhesive with increased stability and extended open time. EMICODE EC 1PLUS tested according to EN 13999-2/4. Suitable for BREEAM-projects.
Consumption : 1.1 - 2.5 kg/m², depending on the flatness of the surface and type of tiles.
Curing : Minimum of 24 hours, depending on the surface and temperature. Lower temperatures result in slower setting times. During the bonding of the adhesive, the temperature should be kept above 5 °C during the day and at night.
Dust factor : < 5% components with particle size of < 2 μm (micrometres).

Application

Application:
  • For the bonding of (large-format) ceramic wall and floor tiles, as well as dark-coloured natural stone, on almost all surfaces such as concrete, cement-based and gypsum-based stucco, sheet material, sand-cement screeds, existing tiling and underfloor heating systems. Very suitable for wall tiling and use in so-called wet areas. Applicable in indoor and outdoor situations. Thanks to EMICODE EC 1PLUS (very low emissions), it’s also suitable for BREEAM projects.
  • For bonding glass mosaic and light-coloured natural stone such as marble, use our 711 Uniflex or 681 Marmercol.

Working Process

Open time : Place the tiles in the adhesive bed within 15 – 20 minutes, depending on the surface and temperature.
Mixing ratio : 23 kg 750 Multicol in approx. 7.5 litres (thin bed) - 9 litres (fluid bed) of water.
Waiting time : After mixing with water, let the mortar stand for a few minutes, then stir it again and apply it to the surface.
Application temperature : From 5 to 25 °C (temperature of both environment and surface).
Processing time : Use the prepared adhesive within 60 minutes.
Curing : Minimum of 24 hours, depending on the surface and temperature. Lower temperatures result in slower setting times. During the bonding of the adhesive, the temperature should be kept above 5 °C during the day and at night.
Storage : Store in a cool and dry place with packaging closed.
Shelf Life : 12 months in the unopened packaging. Close opened packaging well after use.

* The mentioned values have been established in our laboratory and must be considered as guidelines in view of possible variations in climatic circumstances, subfloor compositions and layer thickness.

Consumption:
1.1 - 2.5 kg/m², depending on the flatness of the surface and type of tiles.

Substrate:
  • The surface should have sufficient compression resistance and tensile strength. The surface must also be flat, dry and free of grease, dirt and dust.
  • Prime moisture-absorbing walls such as cement-based stucco, concrete, sand-lime brick, etc. with 099 Dispersion primer and leave to dry.
  • Prime plaster-based surfaces with 044 Europrimer Multi and apply a fully closed layer of 685 Eurocoat to the spray area to create a closed layer between the tile adhesive and the surface.
  • Degrease closed surfaces such as existing tiles with 014 Euroclean. Then remove dirt with a cotton cloth and leave the surface to dry completely. Then prime with 051 Europrimer Quartz.
  • We recommend using our 725 Alphycol for calcium sulphate-based cast floors (anhydrite).
  • Always consult our technical product information sheets beforehand. In case of doubt about the applications of the product, please contact our Technical Help Desk.

    User manual:
    • Add 23 kg of 750 Multicol to approx. 7.5 litres (thin bed) – 9 litres (fluid bed) and clean tap water, then mix the mortar mechanically for 1 minute with the Eurocol 855 mixing rod (approx. 600 rpm) until it becomes a lump-free mixture.
    • Let the mortar stand for a few minutes, stir again vigorously and apply to the surface with a trowel. The toothing (see images) should be selected so as to achieve a minimum adhesive contact surface of 80% (evenly distributed over the back of the tile). For outdoor applications, this should be 100%.
    • Within 15-20 minutes, press the tiles into the adhesive bed with a sliding movement. Check regularly that the back of the tiles has come into full contact with the adhesive. Remove excess adhesive from the joints immediately.
    • Use the prepared adhesive within 60 minutes. Do not add any extra water to the already setting mortar.
    • Under normal conditions, i.e. a temperature of 20 °C and relative humidity of 65%, the tiles can be grouted after a minimum of 24 hours.

Spreading capacity/notched spreader for powder tile adhesives:

The flatness of the surface and type of tiles determine the choice of toothing of the trowel. The toothing should be selected so as to achieve a minimum adhesive contact surface of 80% (evenly distributed over the back of the tile). For outdoor applications, this should be 100%. This also applies to heavy-duty indoor floors, e.g. shop floors and warehouse floors. Check the adhesive contact area regularly.

    Spreader no. 19, 4x4 mm : Spreading capacity approx. 1.1 kg/m²
    Spreader no. 12, 6x6 mm : Spreading capacity approx. 1.7 kg/m²
    Spreader no. 13, 8x8 mm : Spreading capacity approx. 2.2 kg/m²
    Spreader no. 14, 10x10 mm : Spreading capacity approx. 2.5 kg/m²
