That’s because our floors are good for people, good for their applications and good for the environment. So, from the vehicle that they’re in, to the world outside, we’re helping our customers work, live, travel and relax in better environments.
Coral FR
- Coral FR entrance flooring stops up to 95% of dirt entering vehicles, cutting cleaning costs by up to 65% while reducing energy use, chemicals and overall environmental impact.
- Coral FR uses Econyl® yarns which helps reduce the planet's existing waste, avoids additional manufacturing-related pollution and keeps the consumption of natural resources and energy to a minimum.
- All the waste yarn from the Coral production is re-used by the yarn supplier. Our constant search for new ways to reduce our environmental impact has led us to work very closely with forward-thinking suppliers. They incorporate ever higher levels of recycled content into their materials.
- Of all the electricity we buy, 100% comes from renewable sources. This means our Coral production site is part of an effective environmental management system and has achieved ISO 14001 certification.
- Virtually zero landfill is achieved by the Coral manufacturing plant.
Flotex
- Produced in a modern, energy efficient environment using 100% renewable electricity.
- Flotex is created with nylon 6.6 fibres. All dies and inks that are used to create the Flotex designs are water based. No additional chemical processes take place other than high temperature steam treatment to secure the colours.
- Flotex has an impervious backing making it suitable for wet cleaning and it often just needs water and standard cleaning materials (without chemicals).
- We have an independently produced EPD for Flotex that can be provided upon request.
- Flotex is manufactured in production facilities that are certified to ISO 14001- environmental management standard.
Eternal
- Eternal flooring contains at least 30.5% recycled content and is produced using 100% renewable green electricity, ensuring it meets all relevant environmental and quality standards.
- Eternal flooring is 100% phthalate-free, ensuring it is free from harmful chemicals that can damage organs and the reproductive system.
- Eternal flooring has a low emission level, with a TVOC value of less than 20µg/m³, well below the required limit of 1000µg/m³, supporting a circular approach to manufacturing.
Sarlon
- Sarlon is 100% phthalate free.
- Sarlon floors have very low product emissions.
- Only 100% safe and traceable REACH compliant materials are used.
- Maximised use of recycled content in all products; Sarlon contains up to 20% recycled content.
- Controlled supply chain certification – ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards, and SA8000 for ethical supply chain.
- Sarlon production is dedicated to the concept of zero waste; 100% of production waste is reused within Forbo Flooring.
Step
- 100% of the electricity consumed in the production of Step is from renewable sources.
- Step is manufactured in production facilities that are certified to ISO 14001 – environmental management standard.
- Step has an average of 24% recycled content in its manufacturing process.
