Rail Flooring Sustainability Credentials

Marmoleum FR²
As part of the Marmoleum product range, Marmoleum FR² has been independently confirmed as climate positive floor coverings in the cradle to gate phase of the product’s life cycle, without the need for offsetting.
In simple terms, the CO2 produced in the extraction, transportation and manufacturing process of Marmoleum FR² is balanced by the removal of CO2 through the growing of its natural ingredients such as flax, jute and rosin.
Coral FR
- Coral FR entrance flooring stops up to 95% of dirt entering rail vehicles, cutting cleaning costs by up to 65% while reducing energy use, chemicals and overall environmental impact.
- Coral FR uses Econyl® yarns which helps reduce the planet's existing waste, avoids additional manufacturing-related pollution and keeps the consumption of natural resources and energy to a minimum.
- All the waste yarn from the Coral production is reused by the yarn supplier. Our constant search for new ways to reduce our environmental impact has led us to work very closely with forward-thinking suppliers. They incorporate ever higher levels of recycled content into their materials.
- Of all the electricity we buy, 100% comes from renewable sources. This means our Coral production site is part of an effective environmental management system and has achieved ISO 14001 certification.
- Virtually zero landfill is achieved by the Coral manufacturing plant.
Flotex Vision FR
- Produced in a modern, energy efficient environment using 100% renewable electricity.
- Flotex Vision FR is created with nylon 6.6 fibres. All dies and inks that are used to create the Flotex designs are water based. No additional chemical processes take place other than high temperature steam treatment to secure the colours.
- Flotex Vision FR has an impervious backing making it suitable for wet cleaning and it often just needs water and standard cleaning materials (without chemicals).
- We have an independently produced EPD for Flotex Vision FR that can be provided upon request.
- Flotex Vision FR is manufactured in production facilities that are certified to ISO 14001- environmental management standard.
Coral Move Vision FR
- Coral Move Vision FR uses Econyl® yarns, which helps reduce the planet's existing waste, avoids additional manufacturing-related pollution, and keeps the consumption of natural resources and energy to a minimum.

Tessera FR
- The energy used to produce Tessera FR is from 100% renewable sources such as wind and biogas.
- We’re reducing the amount of virgin materials we use. For example, instead of throwing away yarn ends, we rewind them and tuft them into our Tessera carpet tiles.
