Emily Hancock
Meet the team
Having recently re-joined the Forbo team, Emily Hancock, Marketing Coordinator for the International Key Accounts team, talks to us about her role and how she spends her free time.
I joined Forbo Flooring Systems in 2021, straight after completing my degree in International Business at Nottingham Trent University. I work as a Marketing Coordinator for the International Key Accounts team, my role is very varied, but a large part of my time is focused on the global transport and industry segments. After taking a 16-month break to go on a dream backpacking trip around Central America, I returned to Forbo in April 2025, and it’s been exciting to pick up where I left off, bringing fresh perspectives and energy to my role.

Working with people from all over the world is one of my favourite parts of the job. Most days, I’m liaising with colleagues from different regions through calls and emails. Teams really is a lifesaver! We also get the chance to meet in person at exhibitions and training sessions, which is always great for sharing ideas and strengthening those connections.
I always enjoy working on exhibitions. There’s so much planning that goes on behind the scenes, so seeing everything come together at the event is really rewarding. I also love being involved in projects that span multiple markets. It’s fascinating to see how different regions approach things and how we can adapt our messaging to suit each audience.
For me, it’s the combination of the people and the variety of the role. I love working with colleagues from all over the world — everyone is supportive, collaborative, and passionate about their work. There’s a real sense of teamwork, even across different time zones and languages, which makes it such a positive environment to be part of.
I also really enjoy how diverse my role is. One day I might be coordinating marketing materials for a new product launch, and the next I’m helping plan an international exhibition or supporting one of our key accounts. There’s always something new to get involved in, and that keeps the job exciting and rewarding.
I’m happiest when I’m outdoors, whether that’s going for a walk, a run, or skiing. I’ve completed two half marathons so far, and one day I’d love to run a full marathon. I also enjoy reading, last year I managed to get through 26 books! I find it a great way to relax after a long day.
And of course, I love travelling and exploring new places and cultures, which is something I really got to do during my backpacking trip through Central America.
