After the high level academic and educational achievements of Jūrmala Secondary School No. 1, in 2008 the school has been granted the status of a state gymnasium and acquired the name Jūrmala State Gymnasium. After a renovation, each floor of the school has a different colour scheme which creates a positive emotional atmosphere and helps guide students around the school.
