Preventing showing-through in PVC and rubber floor coverings

You know it only too well – a PVC/rubber floor covering has been laid tightly and seamlessly, but then there seems to be some difference in the surface relief (see photo). This difference is especially visible in grazing light. Below you can read about how to prevent this drawing through as much as possible.
