Grip Star™ flat belts don’t have the problems typically associated with rubber, such as brittleness and cracks across them. They excel, particularly in terms of grip and precise positioning. The new belt can be used in a wide range of applications. It’s also ideal as a multipurpose machine tape (e.g. in cross cutters and post-press applications) and as a lightweight power-transmission and conveyor belt.
The new belt is also impressive for its HC+ characteristics. Called FLASH STAR™ by Forbo, these flat belts are a reliable way of preventing the buildup of static electricity. They make it easier to design machinery to ESD standards and prevent typical problems such as disruptions to production, contamination, electric shocks, damage to electronic components, as well as the risk of fires and explosions caused by electrostatic build-up and uncontrolled discharge.
