Marmoleum CO₂ neutral (cradle to gate)

The weighted average of our Marmoleum product range is CO₂ neutral (cradle to gate) without the need for offsetting, meaning it does not contribute to worldwide climate change. It combines ecological values with contemporary design and offers an important contribution to a sustainable world.

Whilst other manufacturers offer products claiming to be CO₂ neutral through offsetting (by planting trees to compensate for the emissions they have produced for example), Marmoleum is CO₂ neutral (cradle to gate) by itself...without offsetting.

In line with our sustainability strategy, we use various, transparent certification systems from independent third parties worldwide to have our floor coverings regularly checked and evaluated.

This is positive for Forbo Flooring Systems, because it helps us to draw attention to our sustainability strategy and identify opportunities for improvement.

Circular Marmoleum

The restoring capacity of natural resources is the bases for the circular economy. In essence linoleum is a bio-cycle product, this means that the natural raw materials basically could be composted and returned to earth as nutrients to the new grown rapid natural raw materials.
