De Boterkapel is a modern restaurant in Domburg, located in a former chapel. The combination of historical elements with a modern look makes it a special location for a culinary experience.
The showpiece of the renovation is undoubtedly the digitally printed vinyl floor by Forbo Flooring. Ennik Interieur, responsible for the overall design, is proud of its collaboration with restaurant De Boterkapel. As interior designers, they had the challenge of creating a unique atmosphere that matches the historic look of the property, but at the same time gives it a modern twist. The showpiece of the renovation is undoubtedly Forbo Flooring's digitally printed vinyl floor.
Eelke Ennik: ‘We chose this floor to create a strong visual impact. The result is a vibrant print that immediately attracts attention upon entering and enhances the creativity and atmosphere of the room. The floor accentuates the neutral colour of the bar, making it extra eye-catching. In consultation with the owners of De Boterkapel, we subtly integrated the chapel's stained-glass pattern into the floor print.
Vinyl was chosen because of its excellent properties for a catering establishment: extremely strong, durable, wear-resistant, stain-resistant and, above all, easy maintenance. Important properties for a floor that is used intensively on a daily basis.
The end result is a floor that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, contributing to the unique atmosphere of the renovated space. We are delighted that the owners of De Boterkapel are so pleased with the final result. Their enthusiasm about the visual impact and practical benefits of the floor confirms that we made the right choices in our design.
