An existing swimming pool was reimagined through renovation and transformed into a new kids’ area. The guiding concept of the project was “connecting the circle of activities within the facility.” To express this idea, circular flooring patterns were introduced and combined with different materials, with Marmoleum selected for its ability to make colours stand out beautifully, even when paired with contrasting textures.
Its wide colour palette allowed the new design to harmonise seamlessly with the existing floor finishes, while its natural, bio-based composition made it a safe and reassuring choice for children - both key factors in the final material selection. After the renovation was completed, it became a heartwarming sight to see children joyfully running along the yellow circles on the floor, fully embracing the space as intended.
