Built in 1922, the Edificio Texas is one of the most traditional constructions in the city of Passo Fundo, As part of the city's cultural heritage revitalisation project, the building went through a major reconstruction in 2023, to address restrictions caused by its structural conditions. Accommodating approximately 300 high school students, the fully renovated facility now includes 10 classrooms, a library, and several laboratories distributed across its three floors. The main concept employed in the historical heritage revitalisation project was the use of high-performance materials that create a contrast between the preexisting and the new. While the building's first two floors received natural wood flooring, reminiscent of the original material used in 1922, the third and uppermost floor, which were entirely rebuilt, have been finished with Sphera Element vinyl flooring, marking the transition of the building into modernity.
