College A+ is a modern learning space designed with an emphasis on safety, durability, and comfort for children of all ages. The architectural solution from York Architects, in collaboration with general contractor KAN Development, required careful technical selection of floor coverings that meet the requirements of intensive daily use in an educational environment.
Forbo collections were selected according to the functional workload of the areas. Sphera Energetic (wear resistance class 34/43) provides maximum durability, hygiene, and safety in corridors, common areas, and learning areas. Sphera Energetic also has R9 certified slip resistance, which is critically important for children's spaces. Forbo Eternal (class 34) and Forbo Surestep (class 34) are used in areas with controlled traffic where comfort, wear resistance, and ease of maintenance are important.
All materials meet the requirements of state building standards (DBN) for educational institutions: they are wear-resistant, non-slip, resistant to mechanical and chemical influences, fire-safe, hygienic, and easy to maintain. The total area of the project is over 6,500 m², which confirms the scale and technical complexity.
