Acoustic hindrance is number 2 in complaints about the work environment. Improved acoustic properties help to increase concentration.

For additional acoustic properties, we can offer a special backing for our Flotex tiles that increases the impact sound reduction with 3 dB to a total of 22 dB: Flotex AcousticPlus.

The AcousticPlus backing can be utilised on all tiles, with a special order minimum of 700 m2 per colour.

    Installation & floorcare

    The unique construction of Flotex flocked flooring is what allows releasing soiling like no other textile flooring. Unlike the looped and twisted fibres of a conventional carpet tile, the smooth straight fibres of Flotex do not trap particles of soil, allowing them to be removed without difficulty during cleaning. Most spills can be cleaned with plain water.

    Flotex can save you time and cut your cleaning costs as it is easy to clean, quick-drying and typically needs less water/chemicals than other textile floor coverings.

    About AcousticPlus

    Flotex AcousticPlus

    Forbo Flooring Systems offers a special backing for our Flotex tiles that increases the impact of sound reduction to a total of 22 dB. This will be an additional feature in for instance education, offices and public areas. The AcousticPlus can only be ordered for the tile items.

    Flotex AcousticPlus offers a good sound absorption of 0.25, which is comparable to most commonly used carpet sheet and tiles. Next to sound absorption, Flotex AcousticPlus offers a very good shock absorption either. This is relevant for areas where people are standing for a long time and where underfoot comfort is important.

    * The AcousticPlus can be ordered for all tiles as a special of 700m2 minimum per colour. AcousticPlus 746006 (grey) is a stocked item from the factory.

    We recommend ordering an A4 sample of the material to truly see the full design effect.
