Clean Flooring

Marmoleum's ability to naturally inhibit the growth of bacteria originates from the natural raw materials that go into its production, specifically flax seed oil. An inherent property of the product, the anti-bacterial qualities of Marmoleum won't diminish over time, giving peace of mind and constant protection from the moment it is installed.

With the correct cleaning regime, our Marmoleum floor coverings will not harbor allergens or house dust mites.

Lasting performance

Forbo Flooring's Marmoleum collections are easy to clean and maintain, thanks to Topshield pro, an innovative and durable production applied finish which should not be removed. TheTopshield pro finish is part of the linoleum and the perfect base for your ongoing use of the floor.

Topshield pro has been designed to create a ‘ready to use’ Marmoleum that requires no initial maintenance or polymer application and is even more resistant to dirt pick-up, less prone to wear and has improved resistance to scratches and stains.

At the same time Topshield pro has the unique characteristic that the surface can be repaired or refreshed in cases of accidents or after years of intensive use, and thus creating a floor that demonstrates a lasting performance over time. Hence the longest market warranty.

Welding

To weld or not to weld?

In most of the cases welding a Marmoleum floor is not required. Skilled installers can make perfect joints without using a welding cord. However, sometimes local laws or health regulations could make it that you need to installe a welding cord between two sheets.

For both situations, Forbo Flooring offers the best solutions. Think about installation guides, instruction videos and welding rods specifically developed for Marmoleum floors.

Marmoweld

Marmoweld is a welding rod specifically developed to weld Marmoleum. For all Marmoleum colours we have developed a matching Marmoweld color. It is available in uni-color (round rod) or in multi-colour (square rod).

Marmoweld Uni (plain color)

After installation, Forbo's linoleum floorings can be hot-welded for functional, decorative and/or hygienic reasons. Marmoweld Uni is available in plain colors that perfectly suit the flooring collections.

Forbo Floor Care for Linoleum floors

Our linoleum floors are easy to clean and maintain thanks to their durable Topshield pro finish. Marmoleum with Topshield pro is the only resilient flooring with an occupancy-ready finish. This means that at the time of installation, cleaning with a neutral pH cleaning solution is all that is necessary. The Topshield pro finish also provides exceptional performance against soiling, staining, scratching, and scuffing. Topshield pro has been designed to create a Marmoleum that meets the demands of everyday use and is even more resistant to dirt pick-up, less prone to wear and has improved resistance to scratches and stains, and thus creating a floor that demonstrates a lasting performance over time.

The Forbo Quickfit system comprises self-adhering MDF panels and damp-proof sound insulating Forbo foam. Forbo Quickfit offers: A rapid, smooth finish. Quick and easy installation. No visible subfloor seams. Excellent moisture barrier. Easily removable. Improved impact sound insulation in combination with Forbo Foam (Δ Lw= 23 dB according to NEN-EN-ISO 140-8 and 717-2). Quick fit complies with Australian Building Code requirements for acoustic properties between floors.

Forbo Foam

Polypropylene foam laminated with metalized polypropylene foil. The foil top layer incorporates a self-adhesive overlap of 20 cm for secure seams.

414 Euroflex Lino Plus - Linoleum Adhesive

614 Eurostar Lino Plus

Very low VOC-emission linoleum adhesive with a high initial grab for the installation of linoleum in sheets and tiles, linoleum aquajet designs and borders, and cork-underlayment. Roller-castor-chair resistant.

Cove Ezi

Pre-formed coving system

Forbo offers a pre-formed linoleum ‘Cove-Ezi’ set-in coving system Cove-Ezi is fabricated locally with the same dye lot material as the main flooring finish to prevent any colour batch variation.

Note: Cove - Ezi can be installed using Forbo Fix 414 adhesive, brushed, rolled or trowelled on with a 2.4 x 2.4 mm
“V” notch trowel. Please test a small area of coving to familiarize yourself when using Forbo Fix 414 adhesive process.
