    Enhanced Sustainability

    Standard Tessera carpet tiles already contain over 60% recycled content and are produced using 100% renewable energy (electricity and biogas), resulting in lower embodied carbon levels.

    By evolving this standard carpet tile construction, we have further improved the sustainability of selected carpet tile ranges, increasing the recycled content and substantially lowering the embodied carbon (A1-A3); all verified by range specific Environmental Product Declarations (EPD’s) and without offsetting.

    Ranges which have this improved sustainability can be easily identified as being part of the evolve+ series, all achieving the following enhanced sustainability criteria:

    • less than 2 kg CO2 e/m2 of embodied carbon (A1-A3)
    • more than 75% recycled content
    • produced using 100% renewable energy
