Adhesive
Very low VOC, solvent-free conductive adhesive features a high initial grab and is designed for the installation of a conductive flooring system. It is non-flammable, easy and safe to apply, and offers strong initial adhesion, good spreading capacity, and resistance to roller castor chairs. The adhesive achieves an electrical resistance below 3.10⁵ ohms (EN 13415). Installation should be completed using the 801 Copper Strip.

Forbo 801 Eurostrip is a self-adhesive copper strip used when installing conductive or ESD flooring systems. It provides transverse potential equalisation, helping ensure consistent electrical conductivity across the floor and supporting correct earthing of the flooring system.

Subfloor levelling
The Forbo QuickFit system comprises self-adhering MDF panels and damp-proof sound insulating Forbo foam. Forbo QuickFit offers a rapid, smooth finish. Quick and easy installation. No visible subfloor seams. Excellent moisture barrier. Easily removable. Improved impact sound insulation in combination with Forbo Foam (Δ Lw= 23 dB according to NEN-EN-ISO 140-8 and 717-2).

The installation and final finish of the floor will have significant impact on the floors performance and lifespan. Forbo has developed a range of products and pre-formed accessories to ensure that the end result is exactly as it should be.
In highly sensitive areas and other places that have strict hygiene requirements, it's vital that floor-to-wall transitions are water-tight, perfectly hygienic and aesthetically pleasing. Our welding rods and integrated coving and skirting system create a perfect seal for these critical areas.
All seams between the Sphera SD and EC floor parts should be hot welded with a welding rod. Colour matching welding rods are available for all Sphera SD | EC items.
Heat welding of Colorex tiles is recommended for areas where wet cleaning methods will be used or for installation areas where hygiene requirements dictate. Colorex tiles and all accessories on this page can be welded with Colorex welding rod, which is available in colours that match the Colorex tile.

The Colorex cove skirting is available in rolls and is cut and welded from the original Colorex tiles, ensuring consistent quality from wall to wall. The cove skirting can be formed against the wall using a cove former and an underlying profile, ensuring a smooth transition between wall and floor and avoiding right angles where dirt can get stuck.

The internal and external corner pieces are moulded from original Colorex material and reinforced to guarantee the best possible result. Includes resin reinforcement on the back. Corner pieces for Sphera SD | EC floors can be manufactured on request.

If Colorex or Sphera SD | EC is installed on a damp floor, Forbo can supply a ventilated skirting that allows humidity to escape into the room.
In applications where Colorex Plus is installed as a stand-alone work island or does not end against a wall, acces ramps are available in grey or in a colour that matches the main Colorex tile (Signal colours on request).
The unique SMART control top layer makes Sphera SD | EC resistant to stains and scratches. Sphera SD | EC floors ensure the highest hygienic properties and are easy to clean and maintain.
The compact, pore-free surface of Colorex is resistant to bacteria and moulds, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene are achieved.
Both flooring collections are resistant to chemicals and can withstand harsh cleaning processes.
The use of protective or maintenance coatings such as waxes and polymer dispersions may have a negative effect on conductivity. Only products designed specifically for conductive floors should be used.
Entrance flooring systems such as Coral and Nuway are not meant to be installed in controlled environments, but they are essential. Soil and dirt can inhibit the conductive properties of ESD flooring. Capturing dirt in an early stage by the use of entrance flooring can be part of a contamination control plan for facilities with strict hygienic requirements.
