The Childhood Education Centre of the Luigi Bon Foundation in Colugna, with its focus on art and music, is the first of this kind in Italy. It is part of an educational/musical culture that has existed for decades, with more than 200 students at the School of Music and Theatre.

The new Centre has the typical characteristics of contemporary educational institutions such as the elimination of corridors, the unification of small spaces into larger classrooms and significant attention to natural daylighting. The overhead lighting and large windows opening to the south make the classrooms feel at one with the gardens outside.

What we call "Subtle Architecture" is a kind of project within a project, in which experiments are carried out on the use of colour, innovative materials and geometries, in this case also in conjunction with musical acoustics. The flooring is also an important aspect of the project. Marmoleum was chosen for its capacity to give children a healthy and sustainable environment. Other considerations have been its ease of installation and the wide range of colors available.
