Marmoleum

Drying room yellowing

As all linoleum completes its maturing, a temporary and variable natural phenomenon occurs which may give the product a yellow tint. Expose the product to either natural or artificial light to allow this tint to disappear and the true colour of Marmoleum will develop.

Fold or 'bight' in Marmoleum

During the 2-3 week curing process, the weight of the material causes the linoleum to mold slightly to the pole at the top, leaving a mark across the width. The fold or 'bight' at the bottom is typically gentle but may appear as a slight ridge, approximately 15 cm wide, across the middle of a full roll. Ensure the bight mark area is well rolled across and along the sheet for secure bonding. Note: 'Bight' marks are not manufacturing defects.

Mask scratches from furniture linoelum

Furniture Linoleum may need a refreshment when regular or periodic maintenance is insufficient.

A pure walnut can be used to mask locally light scratches. Use a dry soft microfiber cloth to take off the oil residues off the treated area in circular movements.

Rubber staining of PVC Floorcoverings

What is the cause of rubber staining?
Common black, grey or white rubber wheels, rubber sole shoes, rubber backed mats and various other kinds of products that are often made of ”STANDARD RUBBER” which contain carbon black that will permanently stain PVC-floorings. This type of rubber often contains residual oils which will over a short period of time migrate into the floor covering. The migration will be visual as brown-yellow stains which are impossible to remove and will
vary in size dependant on the contaminant source and foot traffic loads.
