The Driestar College in Leiden, The Netherlands, is a small-scale Christian school for 450 students. The design for this multifunctional building is from RoosRos Architecten who found a challenge in the fact that the space to build was very small.
The architects opted for many natural materials like wood, glass, stone, concrete and the durable Marmoleum floors from Forbo Flooring. Large Coral entrance mats keep up to 94 percent of the dirt and moisture out of the building and keep the school clean. The natural materials also ensure good acoustics and a nice indoor climate.
