MARMOLEUM IS NATURAL - THE sustainable flooring choice

Marmoleum, Forbo's own brand of linoleum, is a resilient floor made from natural raw materials. Marmoleum has an excellent CO₂ performance thanks to the annual plant-based crops – such as linseed oil, wood flour and flax seed, that absorb carbon while growing. The production process uses 100% renewable energy. Marmoleum is truly sustainable and better for you, your family and the environment.

Made by nature

Marmoleum is durable, beautiful, and natural with a 20-year guarantee.

Our durable Marmoleum Modular tiles and planks are stylish, eco-friendly & allergy safe. Marmoleum will not only improve the look of your home floor but also revitalise the space by providing a seamless, easy clean finish.

The key raw materials used in linoleum production include linseed oil, which comes from the flax plant seeds, and wood flour (sawdust) as production waste from controlled forestry plantations that are PEFC certified.

These raw materials are obtained from their natural habitat right where they grow and renew, often in just 12 months' time.

The craft of making Marmoleum

The craft of manufacturing linoleum has evolved over the last 150 years. Forbo has been driving this development through its Marmoleum brand. Making Marmoleum flooring is an art, which you cannot learn at any trade – or craft school. In fact, only a handful of people know how to make Marmoleum.

Determining the correct mixture of ingredients, allowing the right time for raw materials to settle and applying the correct temperature & pressure are skills a Marmoleum expert must master. We are proud of our experts, as they take pride in creating our Marmoleum floors.
