Their work cuts through the ordinary and the expected with powerful, visionary design. Forbo's advanced production methods enables artists and designers to achieve an exact translation of their design vision.

Heterogeneous sheet vinyl is the ideal blank canvas for designers and artists to create flooring concepts with the 'wow' factor.

    Trust in performance

    The calendered backing, a consistent and dimensionally stable construction and colour fastness; it's a combination of these elements along with the PVC wear layer and PUR surface layer treatment that make Forbo's vinyl custom flooring collections stand out from the crowd.

    Backing
    Adding to stability and the high quality is the optimised calendered backing, a firm but flexible, embossed layer allowing easy installation. The backing ensures an average residual indentation value of 0.02 mm, which is the best in the market.

    High quality glass fleece
    The non-woven, fully impregnated, glass fleece layer functions as the backbone of the product. It ensures an excellent dimensional stability and allows a lean-development approach.

    PUR lacquer
    We use a proven PUR Pearl lacquering protection technique for our heterogeneous vinyl floors. The matt embossed lacquer layer ensures the highest level of chemical and scuff resistance. The use of a specially developed ‘flexible lacquer’ helps to prevent the surface from scratching and maintains the long lasting appearance.

    Vinyl is a perfect substrate for vibrant designs and true to life visuals which can be produced in high level photographic resolution. Use your imagination and create your own bespoke vinyl floor to fit with your interior and specific requirements. The end result is a product that is as reliable and performs as well as any of Forbo's heterogeneous vinyl floors!

    Fantastic effects
    Digital print offers an infinite number of design options ranging from abstracts with intricate colour spectrums to realistic images of natural materials like grass and water. Create 3D depth or a “trompe d ‘oeil” effect on your floor. Or bring nature into your room by choosing a floor covering with autumn leaves or flowers.

    Endless design options
    Digital printing is also well suited for those collections that require visual detail and effects that cannot easily be reached through conventional print. Our vinyl custom flooring collection contains hundreds of individual items.

    A sustainable floor

    Forbo Flooring Systems wants to create better environments by producing flooring solutions in the most sustainable way as possible. Our research and development team is constantly searching for ways to improve the sustainability of our products. Our heterogeneous vinyl floors have multiple characteristics to contribute to a better living and working environment.

    Phthalate free
    Phthalates are industrial chemicals added to plastics to increase their flexibility, transparency, durability, and longevity. Phthalates can damage the liver, kidneys, lungs, and reproductive system according to animal studies. Forbo's vinyl flooring solutions are 100% phthalate free.

    Low emission
    Our vinyl custom flooring has a low emission level: a TVOC value of < 20µg/m³, while ≤ 1000µg/m³ is required.

    Re-used material
    The backing of our heterogeneous vinyl floors contains up to 60% re-used material. This means that all production waste is put to good use again.

    Easy to clean
    The combination of the lacquer and Pearl embossing is proven to be easy to clean, it minimises the need for chemical cleaning and increases the lifespan of the floor. PUR Pearl keeps your floor looking good for years.
