Forbo Siegling at Fruit Logistica 2016 in Berlin

Hanover, 14 January 2016 – Top marks for hygiene with Forbo Siegling conveyor belts.
Anyone requiring superior levels of hygiene and process reliability should visit Forbo Siegling in hall 7.1 C on stand A-06 at this year’s Fruit Logistica. The company will use its platform at the trade show to present its portfolio of conveyor and processing belts which have had an excellent track record in the food industry for years.

One of the innovations at Fruit Logistica are ProSanTM conveyor belts:

with a low friction coefficient, small end radii and a fully protected, durable belt body, ProSanTM conveyor belts are exceptionally reliable in hygiene terms. The belt is also protected with optional tried-and-tested, patented
Smartseal belt-edge sealing, so that oils, grease, moisture and bacteria can’t penetrate the belt anywhere. There is a patent pending on the new underside pattern (BT = Broken Twill). It has a particularly low friction coefficient and the belt is easy to clean.
Frayfree technology is also included in the ProSanTMbelts. The belt’s design prevents the edges from fraying and contamination of food occurring as a result. Frayfree has been used effectively for a long time in fabric-based conveyor belts.

Variety with plastic modular belts
Siegling Prolink plastic modular belts complement traditional fabric-based conveyor belts. Particularly in the food industry, they offer customers outstanding benefits in terms of flexibility, process reliability and cleaning capabilities.

Series 11 is a curved belt with 25 mm (1 inch) pitch. The new design offers the smallest curve radius available at the moment (a minimum 1.4 times the belt width) but with a high transmission of force at the same time, making it currently unique on the market. Compared with conventional products, it saves on material and space, taking up to 33% less space than the competition’s belts. It can be used for lightweight products in the food, but also non-food segment, as well as in the packaging industry.

The showcase will be rounded off with Meshbelts. With different mesh sizes and an open area of 60% max., these are the ideal processing belts for jobs such as washing, drying filtering and cooling.

With its special product range and extensive expertise on applications, Forbo Siegling has the special skills required to support customers from the food industry in achieving and maintaining their hygiene standards.
