Hannover, January 2016 – Siegling Prolink plastic modular belts now with micro pitch too.
Plastic modular belts complement traditional fabric-based conveyor belts and offer customers a surprising variety. In terms of flexibility, process reliability and cleaning capabilities, Siegling Prolink plastic modular belts are a good choice, particularly in the food segment. The belts are used in the baked goods industry in processes concerned with emptying baking tins, cooling, frosting, laminating, decorating, glazing and packaging. Furthermore, all belts made of materials customary in the industry comply with FDA, EU and USDA regulations. Forbo Movement System is adding to its already diverse product range with a new series.
The new Siegling Prolink series 13 – ideal for the smallest of product transfers
With a pitch of just 8 mm and a small end diameter (dmin = 6 mm) especially developed for small product transfers, series 13 is called a micro pitch option for good reason. Even returns with rolling or fixed knife edges up to a radius of 3 mm minimum are feasible. Even very small products can be transferred seamlessly. The gap for transferring products between two belts can be small, minimising the risk of damaging the products or causing them to pile up.
The ideal design of the sprockets and underside of the belt ensure excellent tooth engagement with better force transmission, reliable belt tracking and better cleaning capabilities. Hinge pins without heads and clip devices on both sides of the module facilitate fitting and disassembling the belt for maintenance.
No chance for sticky dough
Series 13 is available in a Flat Top (closed, smooth surface) and an NPY (closed, inverted pyramid pattern) version. The inverted pyramid pattern ensures superb product release and therefore excels at conveying sticky products.
