flotex
triad planks

Based on the idea of a group of three lines, these geometric forms evolve becoming abstract and random, always familiar but never the same. Highly graphic and sophisticated in its design, the colourways of the Flotex Triad planks can be combined or used individually, with or without coordinating accents for your floor.

Flotex Triad planks can be installed in a half-drop, herringbone and weave pattern.
Note: 121001 embossed zinc is a non-stock item.

    About Flotex planks

    Flotex planks: sophistication & style

Flotex is neither a true textile, nor is it a resilient flooring. Its unique dense fiber construction succeeds in combining the best of both worlds: comfort
& resilience. Flotex offers a flooring solution for areas where safety, hygiene and well-being are in high demand.

As modular flooring is a major trend, we've developed our new Flotex Planks collection, containing 6 unique designs in plank sizes of 9.84” x 39.37”(100x25 cm). Stunning floorplans can be created with the contemporary designs that match every requirement.

    Application & use
The versatile Flotex Plank designs lend themselves equally well to contemporary or classic office environments as to areas like airport lounges, congress centers, restaurants or hotels.

The Wood and Seagrass design, because of their natural and warm feel, even go down well in homely environments like housing for the aged and care facilities.

    Sophistication & style
Flotex Planks offer endless possibilities to mix and match colours within 1 design. Laying patterns can also create stimulating and lively environments with zigzag motives or herringbone designs. Flotex Planks show little repeat in their patterning, creating interesting and beautiful floors even when only 1 single colour is used.

    Cleaning and Maintenance

    Cleaner for longer

A textile flooring with the ease of cleaning a resilient is the true quality of Flotex. When prescribed cleaning procedures are followed, Flotex outperforms any textile floorcovering in appearance. It’s smooth upright nylon 6.6 fibres allow dirt to be easily removed by ordinary vacuuming. No dry dirt is trapped by any loops or brush edges of the fibre and the vacuum action reaches the very base of the pile, meaning that all dirt is removed. The vinyl base combined with the nylon 6.6 top layer allows it to be cleaned with water and detergents, simply washing away any spills or stains. Steam cleaning or mechanical cleaning methods can be applied. Flotex is the truly washable textile, dries quickly and as such stays cleaner for longer.

    Environment

    A sustainable floor

    Green electricity
Forbo’s manufacturing operations for Flotex in Great Britain and France secure a high quality floor covering, produced with green electricity and minimum waste streams that are all recycled in the floor.

    Water based
Flotex is created with nylon 6.6 fibres. All dies and inks that are used to create the Flotex designs are water based. No additional chemical processes take place other than high temperature steam treatment to secure the colors.

    Recycled content
Flotex makes use of waste streams of other Forbo production locations to be transformed into the backing of the floor coverings. Recycled content in Flotex is up to 59% of the backing content.

    Extremely durable
A big advantage for using Flotex is the extreme performance of the floor covering, with a product life time that surpasses that of ordinary textiles by a factor 6.

    Simple cleaning & maintenance
Flotex can be cleaned by using water and a simple detergent. For most staining, simple household soap is enough to clean the product, while other detergent clean away ink, oil and more severe stains. After use Flotex can be recycled back into the production process.

    NCS & LRV

    NCS & LRV values

Download here the overview of the LRV & NCS values

    LRV
In architecture, Light Reflectance Value (LRV) is a measure of the percentage of visible and usable light that is reflected from a surface when illuminated by a light source. The LRV can be linked to a number of decisions on which a colour can be chosen. The approximate LRV of a colour indicates the amount of visible light that a colour will reflect. Black has a light reflectance value of 0% and absorbs all light. White has a light reflectance value of 100% and keeps a building light and cool. It also links to the use of electricity where lighter colours need less lighting, which is a direct saving for the environment. All Forbo products carry a light reflection value, which can be found in the text next to the enlargement of the tabletop.

    NCS
NCS colour coding describes the colour of any material. With numeric colour codes, so called NCS Notations, such as NCS S 1080-Y70R, any colour can be described precisely. NCS has defined 1950 standardised colours at every 10th step of the colour space to represent the entire colour space. Each notation's colour sample is visually identical to any other colour sample of the same notation, whether it is a standardised colour or a colour in between the 1950 standard colours. This way you can find matching flooring colours with other coloured items in a room.

The 'Natural Colour System' NCS has been developped in order to indentify the colour value, its intensity and hue for a product. By using the NCS maesurement system, colours and colour groups can be identified and matched regardless of the material that has been used. In this way colour coordinates for different aspects of the interior of a building can be determined. All Forbo Flooring products carry an NCS code, which can be found next to the enlargement of the tabletop and in our downloadcenter.
