Our flooring design was based on the original pattern and drawn up on CAD. The design department at Forbo Flooring in Kirkcaldy were able to interpret these CAD details and deck layouts into a design for the First Class Areas which was high pressure water jet cut and hand assembled. A simpler design using the same colours but simplified into a design of bands and panels was used for the Second Class spaces. Althought the choice of floor covering was driven by the desire to replace the material with something that matched as closely as possible to the original, the productis also the ideal choice for durability and ease of maintenance. The new 'Topshield' coating means that the flooring can be cleaned with only warm water and guarantees mean that the product is suitable for heavy trafficked areas underneath the tourists feet.
