Anne-Claire developed a strong affinity for artisanal textile techniques whilst studying at the Design Academy Eindhoven. This also formed the basis for her current label, Anne-Claire Petit Accessoires.
A contrasting combination of pale shades in simple patterns and unusual crochet structures is what produces the very distinctive Anne-Claire Petit signature style.
Her constant quest for new applications of traditional craft techniques continually leads Anne-Claire down exciting new avenues: 2013, for example, saw her expand on her collection of crocheted toys with a line of crocheted home accessories.
The digital interpretation of a crochet pattern Anne-Claire designed especially for Flotex floor covering ties in seamlessly with this new focus. “We actually used this Flotex carpet on our stand at the Maison et Objet trade fair.”
The carpet oozes comfort and just asks to be touched. Anne-Claire believes the strokable Flotex surface and soft look of the 3-dimensional textile structure is a winning combination: “I’m personally very proud of this collaboration between Anne-Claire Petit Accessoires and Flotex for Forbo Flooring.”
