The following products have achieved level A certification in line with the Green Building Council of Australia's Green Star third party certification requirements. Sphera and Colorex meet best practice PVC.

We use transparent, independent third-party certification to assess our products. We’re also keen to include our products in sustainable building programs and align with the requirements of the Green Building Council of Australia's rating tools.

Forbo Flooring Systems Australia is a proud member of the Green Building Council Australia, which was established in 2002 to lead the sustainable transformation of the built environment.

Majority of Forbo Floorcovering ranges are certified with GreenRate Level A under the Green Building Council of Australia Assessment Framework for Product Certification Schemes, meaning you'll receive the maximum Green Star points.

Sphera, Colorex plus and Allura Colour plus are best practice PVC certified to meet the Green Building Council (GBCA) best practice PVC guidelines.

Forbo products often go beyond local requirements. A good example is our production and supply chains are SA8000 certified.

BPI Rating

Building Product Information or BPI is an independent organisation where due diligence is completed by industry experts.

Building products are verified based on the completeness of information available for Architects and Designers to save time finding and comparing products

Areas covered are compliance and performance standards, sustainability, resilience & manufacturers CSR credentials.

Forbo Flooring Systems has published Environmental Product Declarations for our individual floor covering products. An EPD presents quantified environmental data for a product, based on information from a life cycle assessment (LCA)
EPD can contribute to achieving innovation points in Green Star projects.
