Decoration - Focus on Architecture
It is strange that decoration is not usually considered a part of architecture. Buildings have been decorated since antiquity - and not just buildings, but also utilitarian objects such as urns, shields, knives and garments. The urge to decorate things is integral to our playful human spirit. We are not satisfied with a merely functional object, for something must always be added. This is however more than just a game or an entertainment for the eye.
